The New Standard for Lightweighting Next Generation Vehicles

Vehicle manufacturers today are facing great pressures to enhance vehicle safety while also reducing fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and vehicle weights.

To meet these demands, vehicle designers are innovating new crash worthy aluminum structural bodyworks in the form of A and B pillars, closures, frame structures and reinforcements that are manufactured from aluminum blanks which are heated and simultaneously formed and quenched in a press.

For these applications, CAN-ENG can offer a variety of system configurations that include Batch or Continuous furnace designs.  

Systems can be heated by both natural gas indirect and direct fired, electrical and hybrid heating systems. Batch Systems can be integrated with robotic automation for blank and part handling with the forming press. Rapid heating and tight temperature control can be provided via forced recirculated air jet heating and in addition contact platen heating designs. Continuous configurations rely on roller hearth and belt conveyor designs to provide our customers with the blank positioning accuracy and high volume capacities.
