Aluminum Furnace Systems Basketless Heat Treatment System (BHTS®)

CAN-ENG's aluminum furnace systems allow breakthroughs in drive train, propulsion systems and automotive structural components possible.

CAN-ENG custom engineers industrial thermal processing systems for T4, T5, T6, and T7 solution annealing processes, age hardening, precipitation hardening, annealing, homogenizing and hot forming. CAN-ENG’s unique Basketless Heat Treating System (BHTS®) for aluminum automotive components reduces capital, operating and energy consumption costs.

CAN-ENG’s BHTS® eliminates the need for product conveying baskets, carriers, trays or fixtures which require continuous repairs and replacement, reducing capital costs and greatly reducing energy consumption requirements. With robotic automation, these systems can be seamlessly integrated into the overall manufacturing process to provide a lean manufacturing cell that eliminates work in process inventories and sources of waste.

Products include aluminum forging preforms, billets, tubes, castings and suspension components. System designs available in both natural gas and electrically heated configurations. Conveyor configurations include continuous flat wire and mesh belt designs, included multiple strand conveyors integrated a variety of cross flight configurations.

CAN-ENG can offer a variety of system configurations that include Batch or Continuous furnaces designs. Systems can be heated by both natural gas indirect and direct fired, electrical and hybrid heating systems. Batch Systems can be integrated with robotic automation for blank and part handling with the forming press. Rapid heating and tight temperature control can be provided via forced recirculated air jet heating and in addition contact platen heating designs. Continuous configurations rely on roller hearth and belt conveyor designs to provide our customers with the blank positioning accuracy and high volume capacities.
